La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia de la gestión municipal y la participación ciudadana en la gobernabilidad local del departamento de Apurímac, Perú. Mediante un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental transversal, se aplicó una encuesta a 384 ciudadanos seleccionados de una población de 2,000 personas. Los resultados revelan que el 78.1% de los encuestados percibe la gestión municipal en nivel regular, mientras que la participación ciudadana alcanza el 77.9% en la misma categoría. El modelo de regresión logística ordinal demostró una influencia significativa (p<0.001) de ambas variables sobre la gobernabilidad, explicando el 52.1% de la varianza según el R² de Nagelkerke. Los mecanismos de coordinación (53.2%) y los mecanismos de participación (52.7%) presentaron la mayor influencia. Se concluye que fortalecer los espacios participativos y mejorar la transparencia institucional constituyen estrategias prioritarias para consolidar una gobernabilidad local legítima y estable en contextos de democracia emergente.
This research analyzes the influence of municipal management and citizen participation on local governance in the department of Apurímac, Peru. Using a quantitative approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, a survey was administered to 384 citizens selected from a population of 2,000 people. Results reveal that 78.1% of respondents perceive municipal management at a regular level, while citizen participation reaches 77.9% in the same category. The ordinal logistic regression model demonstrated a significant influence (p<0.001) of both variables on governance, explaining 52.1% of the variance according to Nagelkerke’s R². Coordination mechanisms (53.2%) and participation mechanisms (52.7%) showed the greatest influence. The study concludes that strengthening participatory spaces and improving institutional transparency constitute priority strategies for consolidating legitimate and stable local governance in emerging democracy contexts.
