Impact of anxiety on the development of power skills in university students of business administrationContenido principal del artículo
The objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between academic anxiety and the development of power skills in students at the Faculty of Management Sciences at the National University of Central Peru. The study was conducted using a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of university students, who were given standardized instruments to measure academic anxiety and five dimensions of power skills. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling using SmartPLS. The results showed a significant, high-magnitude negative relationship between academic anxiety and the development of power skills, with different effects observed for each dimension, with the greatest impact on open-mindedness and empathy. It is concluded that academic anxiety is a limiting factor for the development of key cross-cutting skills, highlighting the need for comprehensive institutional strategies aimed at strengthening psychological well-being and professional training.
