Sustainable products, amo practices and innovation performance in textile smes: a pls-sem analysis from an emerging economyContenido principal del artículo
In a highly competitive and technology-driven business environment, innovation is essential for organizational sustainability. This study examines how sustainable products, innovation, and the AMO model (ability, motivation, and opportunity) influence innovation performance among textile MSMEs in Metropolitan Lima in 2025. A quantitative, non-experimental, correlational design was applied, estimating a PLS-SEM model using survey data from sector representatives. The results show positive and significant effects of innovation (p < 0.001), AMO (p = 0.001), and sustainable products (p = 0.030) on innovation performance. The findings suggest that strengthening innovation capabilities, AMO-based talent management, and sustainable product practices is key to improving innovation performance in emerging economies.
