Background: Psychological empowerment and job crafting are pivotal constructs in organizational psychology; however, their relationship has not been systematically integrated despite increasing yet fragmented empirical evidence. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between psychological empowerment and job crafting within organizational contexts through a systematic literature review. Methodology: A comprehensive search was conducted across Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, PsycInfo, and ERIC, covering publications from 2019 to 2026. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 52 quantitative studies measuring both constructs across various sectors were selected from an initial pool of 2,167 records. Results: A significant positive correlation was found between psychological empowerment and job crafting (r=50). The dimensions of meaning and competence were associated with cognitive crafting, whereas self-determination and impact were linked to task crafting. Furthermore, empowering and transformational leadership emerged as key mediators, strengthening the relationship between both constructs. Conclusions: Psychological empowerment and job crafting are deeply interrelated, and their synergy enhances occupational well-being. Future research should prioritize longitudinal designs and geographic diversification to bolster the evidence regarding this relationship and its applicability across diverse organizational settings.
