Introduction: Entrepreneurial management in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is a complex process involving individual capabilities, organizational resources, accumulated learning, and support networks. Understanding entrepreneurs’ experiences makes it possible to identify the elements that shape their management practices. Objective: To analyze how entrepreneurial management is shaped in SMEs in Lima and Callao based on the experiences and meanings attributed to it by their entrepreneurs. Methodology: A qualitative study with an interpretive scope and phenomenological design was conducted. Fifteen SME entrepreneurs participated in semi-structured interviews using open-ended questions. The information collected was organized and analyzed through coding and theoretical triangulation processes supported by ATLAS.ti software. Results: The findings identified six emerging categories: brand identity and positioning; strategic management and teamwork; market strategies and customer orientation; human capital and educational development; social capital and support networks; and risk management and entrepreneurial competencies. Participants conceptualized entrepreneurial management as an integrated practice grounded in prior experience, education, adaptation, collaborative relationships, and strategic market orientation. Conclusions: Entrepreneurial management in the SMEs analyzed is shaped through the interplay of personal, educational, social, and organizational resources. These elements constitute an adaptive dynamic that enables entrepreneurs to address business challenges; however, the findings represent context-specific interpretations and do not establish causal relationships.
